- OT and Shootouts - Apr 28 - Fred Ashworth
I would have posted in the general messages folder but, I didn't get the Create a new message button so, I'll post in each league folder: I sent some e-mails earlier this year with the idea/request that the league look at resolving tie games with shootouts. The response I received was that this topic had been discussed between league reps and was viewed favorably and it would be possible to implement this summer, as a trial. Has there been any decision on this subject? What do other players in the leagues think about this (respond to this thread with feedback)?
- Quest for the Crown Tournament - Mar 5 - Ben Vernelson III
Hey all, I dont know if any of you have heard of The Avalanche Guild or The Goalie Guild. Its an organization based out of Denver that does some awesome things with the Avalanche organization and local hockey in general. (http://www.theavalancheguild.com/) (http://www.thegoalieguild.com/) Anyways, they are having a tournament to support Hockey Fights Cancer. The Quest for the Crown! (http://questforthecrown.org/) Id love to form a team and enter into the E league competition. I was told that if I formed a team comprised of D and E league players that they would place us in one of their E league slots. The tournament is April 30th, May 1st and May 2nd. They offer a 4 game guarantee, free t-shirt, free shootout tourney entry, plenty of beer and food on site all weekend more adult entertainment at night discounts on green fees at the golf course righ next door and more. The tournament will be held at The Edge Ice Arena in Littleton. The organization has hotel deals for the area too if anyone wants to stay down there the whole weekend. The fee is $1000 for the team. 15 skaters plus one goalie (me). Thats $62.50 per person. Please please call or email me if you wish to participate or have any questions. I will compile a list and if we reach 15 then Ill go ahead and send in the form for entry. Ben.Vernelson.III@gmail.com 970-690-3469
